White Balance

How It Works

White Balance is the basis of color in a photograph. Depending on the setting a photo is taken in, the color white will appear different. White balance is measured in Kelvin or K (i.e. 4000 K, 5000 K, etc.). White balance is what gives a difffferent hue and tone to imagery.

How It Relates

All other settings that are mentioned determine how much light entered the camera. With white balance, it brings the colors and tones into the image to complete the photo. While the amount of light captured can’t be hcanged easily, white balance is easy to alter in photo editing apps.
